Voltira Oy, empowering a sustainable future

Solar farms, Lion's Mane and breadfruit trees.

Voltira Oy is a green-energy and agri-tech company in Ruovesi, Finland. We develop ground-mounted solar farms, freeze-dry Lion's Mane, and propagate breadfruit trees in the laboratory for farms in Vietnam. Each line of business has its own catalogue.

Mounted solar

We develop ground-mounted solar farms in Finland and carry them from land to ready-to-build.

Our model is asset-light. Voltira secures the land, runs the permitting, carries out the environmental and grid studies and signs the grid connection agreement. A project leaves our hands with a final building permit and a connection agreement, ready for a utility or an established developer to build and own.

We size projects from 5 to 30 MWp. Where the connection rewards it, we design them as solar and battery hybrids behind one grid connection. For property owners we also design rooftop PV for commercial and multi-family buildings.

Freeze-dried Lion's Mane

Freeze-dried Lion's Mane fruiting body, grown in Finland and packed in Ruovesi, for food and supplement makers in Europe and North America.

We use the fruiting body only: no mycelium grown on grain, no fillers. Freeze-drying keeps the shape, colour and compounds of the fresh mushroom, so slices rehydrate for cooking and powder keeps its potency for capsules. Every lot ships with a certificate of analysis from an accredited laboratory.

Growing is done by our partner farm in Finland. Voltira freeze-dries, tests, packs and exports.

Breadfruit propagation

In-vitro propagation of breadfruit, Artocarpus altilis, for planting in Vietnam.

Seedless breadfruit varieties cannot be grown from seed. Farms multiply them from root cuttings, which is slow and carries disease from tree to tree. Tissue culture starts from a few clean shoot tips and produces thousands of uniform, disease-free plantlets a year.

We multiply the Otea variety, the cultivar we selected for commercial breadfruit flour. Vietnam has no stock of Otea mother trees to take cuttings from, so plantations cannot start the traditional way. Our starting material comes from a laboratory in the United States as sterile in-vitro cultures. We multiply it in Finland and ship the plantlets to Vietnam in sealed culture vessels, where they are acclimatised and planted. The first plantlets go to Voltira's own orchard; growers who want to plant breadfruit for flour can order from the same lines.
